Dear Thyro-Cat,

Hi there! Can you believe my mom used to call me "Bony Boy"? Now she calls me "Burly Boy"! I weighed almost 16 pounds when I returned to the vet for my thyroid blood test. Dr. Fisk says I am just fine now.

I hope you like this photo of me. It really shows off my big paunch. I am quite handsome, don't you think?

Thanks again for treating me so well while I was at your facility. I was scared to go in, but the whole thing went much easier than I thought, and I feel so much better now!

To the wonderful folks at Thyro-Cat:

It's been 3 months since Jack's treatment, I just wanted to pass along the good news! She is doing wonderfully well. She "passed" her blood test at the vets with flying colors, her appetite has returned to normal and she has gained 3 lbs.!! She looks great and it's obvious she fells great too. Just look at her picture to see one happy 16 year old cat!

Thanks again for the special efforts you undertook on her behalf, especially all the special foods that you would try to entice her to eat. The reason she wasn't eating while she was there (other then the obvious I-miss-mommy-I-hate-change-I-want-to-go-home-syndrome) was that her antibiotic was making her nauseous, not the radioactive iodine. As soon as she came home and I stopped that, she was a totally different cat!

Oliver has been for his follow-up visit and I'm sure you have the results by now. His thyroid values are normal and he's regained 1.5 lbs. (that's probably enough)! He seems none the worse for the experience although he does watch more TV and it's good to know he's healthy again. Thanks for your wonderful care for both of us. Regards, Alice M.
